There are two different cold brewing methods, Cold Brew and Cold Drip. Cold Brew is a brewing method made by soaking ground coffee in cold water for at least 8 hours. Cold Drip, on the other hand, is a cold coffee brewing method prepared by brewing water or melted ice in drops by passing through the coffee. Which of these two methods you choose with the DRIPSTER2 2-in-1 Cold Brew Dripper is up to you.
The two brewing methods are quite different from each other, in one the water passes through the coffee, while in the other the coffee and water are constantly together. While Cold Brew usually starts with room temperature water and ends in the fridge cold, Cold Drip starts with ice or near ice cold and ends at room temperature. These differences, of course, lead to some differences in taste. With the DRIPSTER2 2-in-1 Cold Brew Dripper, you have the chance to use both methods.

Hot water makes it easier for the oils in the coffee to pass into the water. This leads to an increase in the acidity ratio. It would not be right to call acidity good or bad because it is directly related to personal tastes. The differentiation of both the water temperature and the brewing method brings about the coffee flavor being quite different from what we are used to in the brewing methods made with cold water.
Two separate filters come out of the DRIPSTER2 2-in-1 Cold Brew Dripper, which allows you to prepare both Cold brew and Cold Drip. Both of these filters are not used together. The large filter is used to prepare Cold Drip, while the small filter is used to prepare Cold Brew. Thus, it is possible to obtain 650-700 ml of coffee with the Cold Brew brewing method, while it is possible to obtain 600 ml of coffee with Cold Drip.

How to use?
To obtain 600 ml of Cold Drip coffee;
You can use 700 ml of water or 630 grams of ice.
Place 60 grams of medium to low-roasted coarsely ground coffee (french press grind level) into the large filter. Do not apply pressure when inserting, otherwise it will be very difficult for the water to filter through the coffee.
Fill the coffee-filled filter into the lower carafe.
The filter you will put on the coffee will allow the water drop to spread over the coffee and touch every part of it and will allow you to make a better quality brew.
Insert the water tank and set the drip rate to one drop per second (you can change this rate to your liking)
The drip rate will slow down over time as the pressure will decrease as the water in the upper chamber decreases, in which case you will have to adjust the drip setting again.
You can continue the brewing at room temperature or store it in the refrigerator.
Your coffee will be ready in 1-2 hours.
To Obtain 700ml Cold Brew;
Place the small filter in the upper chamber
Make sure the valve is closed and place the upper bowl on top of the carafe.
Pour approximately 70 grams of coarsely ground (french press grind level) coffee into the upper chamber.
Add 750 ml of water to the upper chamber.
Gently mix 1-2 turns with a stick and store in the refrigerator.
After 8 hours, your coffee will be ready (you can extend the time if you wish).
Open the upper chamber valve by carefully turning it on top of the carafe.
Your cold brew coffee will drain into the lower carafe, now your coffee is ready to drink!
Cleaning
Glass and metal equipment can be easily washed in the dishwasher. It is recommended to wash the plastic parts by hand with a soft sponge in order to prevent the formation of blurry images caused by the dishwasher over time.

Cold Drip method:
The first step is to pour the coffee into the filter. We recommend freshly ground coffee in an amount of 7-10g per 100ml of water. So if you want to make 500ml of Cold Brew, you need 35-50g of ground coffee. Then place the water tank without the metal filter on the filled coffee filter and pour in the desired amount of water. Now you can adjust how much and how fast the water should run through the rotary valve. We recommend setting the valve to one drop per second. Now you have to wait until all the water has run through.
You can now enjoy the finished Cold Brew pure with ice or as a milk drink. Cold Brew is also an excellent base for long drinks or cocktails. In a closed container in the refrigerator, Cold Brew Coffee stays fresh for about 3 days.
Cold Brew Tip:
To ensure that the water drops are evenly distributed, moisten the surface of the coffee grounds in the filter with a little water.
